Welcome AliSarah, lol!!

What a crazy day today has been... It started with my husband badgering me about the taxes and thinking I may have missed something... This sent me on an almost all day odyssey looking for records of whether or not we received Economic Stimulus Checks... I still don't know because the IRS has evidently never heard of my husband's social security number... So, maybe tomorrow I'll get to be on hold with the IRS for 20 hours, woohoo!

Then, I had to go to the dr. It was a pointless trip to the office as far as I could tell. He didn't have the results from my blood draw last week and said I should call dr. hematology to get them. *rolls eyes* So, I'll see what dr. hematology says on the 27th when I get over there.

Meanwhile, I got a weird email that said one of my websites was phishing... This happens sometimes when hackers find some back door way into your site and then set up a whole operation, so I had to deal with that... Which I did promptly and efficiently.

Later, I get an email and phone call from my host that my site has been hacked. again. twice in one day. the same exact site. This same site had been hacked a couple weeks ago, so for some reason that name just really attracts the goobers who have nothing better to do with their time...

So, I decided to bring in the blog from that site to this blog... And, that site will just point people over here where they can get my awesome Scrapbooking stuff! But, my Candy Bar Wrapper Designs no longer have a place to live... SO, WELCOME to everyone who came here thinking they were going to my Candy Bar Wrapper site! I'm still in the planning stages of whether or not (and how) to make them available again.

Settling In!!

I scrapped this today and ordered the postcards from Vista Print. I always use them for my Christmas postcards so I'm sure these will be just as great!



I made this with a template by Connie Prince (It was 12x12 and I modified it to fit the postcard!), and my kit called Henna Henna Bo Benna, which is available at Scrapable and DID (Once I get my store turned on again! I got everything uploaded today so now I just have to create all the products again!)

This week, I have made 12 brand new alphas, they are so COOL!! I will be turning them on at Scrapable for this Friday's New Releases and at Designs In Digital, they'll be turned on for next Wednesday's New Releases!! :D

Also, be on the watch for a Grand Re-Opening sale starting next Wednesday too!! :D

Busy Days!!

I have been doing so much behind the scenes stuff!! I finished my week 3 kit for the NDIDDS contest, so I'm excited about that, you can see it in my gallery at DID...

I finished a secret kit for a secret fun thing coming up soon at DID... More about that later, clearly, lol...

I got a new blinkie!!


I have to put it in my siggy files all over the universe, I haven't done it yet!

And, now, I'm getting ready to go to the movie THE DARK NIGHT with my husband!!! :D YAY!!

OMGoodness!!

What a couple of days, What a couple of days!!

All day yesterday, I couldn't decide what to make for my design club set. I held a contest for the Club Members and Melinda won the contest, inspiring me to make this set:

It's like a boyfriend for my Girly Skulls set, lol...

I stayed up even later last night to make some Valentines for my daughter's school, they turned out super cool!! :D

Then, I got up early and made a Gallon Sized Gift Set for a customer who is coming to pick it up later today! What a sweet guy to buy all this for his lady love!!


I am also posting some freebies here for you:
This is a Valentine mini-set for Boys and tomboys! It is just a few pieces, SOE, minis, and toppers. But, you can make a pretty nice last minute Valentine with just those pieces!! :D


But, if you are just in love with the paper, I figure you can have that too!!


Yep, I think that is about it!! Whew!! I am so productive!!

Woohoo!

I ordered Business Cards, YAY!!

I know it seems like a silly thing to be so excited about but I have been trying to design them and get a look that I liked for about 2 months now. SO, today, I just kind of went for it... I think they turned out pretty cute! I am leaning toward more beautiful things and less cute things these days, so I think they are lovely, lol...

Until then, I'll be heading out to go have lunch with Rachel for Operation Observation... which basically means parents bring take out food and eat it on sticky benches and tables while our kids try to pretend not to know us while still eating and sharing the food we brought... And then I have to go to the DMV and get my registration for my car!

Whazzup??

SO, wow!! I haven't written in forever!

I just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know how my Holidays went! For Christmas, I got Bronchitis, with miserable coughing, hacking, and sleeping all day long! We had middle schoolers over to go Christmas Caroling, and I was right in the middle of the hacking, but I still wanted us to have a good time... But, while we were out singing, I started coughing and I pulled a muscle in my neck, OW!!

So, I went to see Dr. G and he gave me some antibiotics but nothing for the neck... So, I couldn't turn my head for a whole week. I went back to see Dr. G and he finally gave me some muscle relaxers, which made me tired, but didn't put me to sleep. But, the good news was I could turn my head, lol... SO, I went shopping and bought all my presents the Friday before Christmas, lol.

We had a great birthday party for my Gramz on Dec. 23rd and I got to see that side of the family, so it was super fun! Then, Christmas Eve, Baby Daddy #2 came over to see the kiddle, but he was late so we just had a mellow night and he took the kiddle to see National Treasure 2, which I still haven't seen. :( They liked it though.

Christmas Day, we got up, Baby Daddy #2 was still here, so we opened presents and had a good breakfast. Then, we headed up the hill to have a super fun time at the family Christmas Dinner, which was really small and cozy this year. It was so nice!! AND, I got out my chocolate fountain, which is super super awesome!! We had some serious yumminess!

Since then, we have just been hanging out. We saw the hubster's parents and they took us to see the Rose Parade Floats being decorated, which was kewlness!

New Year's Eve, we hit the movie theater during the day while everyone was still at work! The kiddle saw Alvin & the Chipmunks, she liked it. We saw Sweeney Todd, We LOVED IT!! (I'm a theatre chick so I love all things Sondheim, not to mention the necessary Johnny Depp/ Tim Burton obsession, lol! Helena Bonham Carter is DIVINE as well! SO, it was an all around treat that totally lived up to all the hype for me...)

After that, we had lunch... And, we all went together to Enchanted, which was so disappointing. I was so sad... Now, a few days before all of this, I had gone to see a sneak preview of 27 Dresses, so I had just seen the lovely James Marsden being enchanting and wonderful and making me want to be in love with him... But, this movie was just sad, in my opinion. I wanted it to be so much better than it was. It did have a few great moments, and even one that wasn't even in the trailor... BUT, it just left so much to be desired... Oh well *sigh*

Anyhow, we did a little shopping and got some super indulgent foods to eat New Years Eve. We stayed up all night, it was fun!! Yesterday, we just lounged all over, which was good too...

So, there's that, everything that happened to me since you last heard from me...

Rice A Roni! This breakfast can't be beat!

Ok... So, yesterday I told you I was having pizza and diet soda for breakfast, and I wanted to be more clear and point out that it was indeed the new Pizza from Pizza Hut with the foldover crusts and the double the toppings thing they are advertising right now... SO, if you work at Pizza Hut and you want to send me free pizza for linking you, I am so kewl with that!! Additionally, I LOVED this pizza, it was YUMMY!! It was good at night and great for breakfast the next day... Until my daughter came home and said, "where did all the pizza go?" and I was left with the guilt of eating the last of it for breakfast... *sigh* oh well...

Meanwhile, I was having a little dilemma because I didn't want to be that chick who blogs about what she is eating for breakfast everyday. But, today, I made myself Rice A Roni, which is somewhat noteworthy because I usually just have yogurt and/or oatmeal... Plus, this is not leftovers, this is brand new totally self indulgent, ridiculously good, Broccoli Au Graten Rice A Roni, just for me, just for breakfast, just for today!! With, what else? Diet soda!

If my Gramz was reading this, she'd give me a lecture about how I am going to die from aspartame poisoning on account of the formic acid... As an ex-biology major in college, I'd have to agree with her. But, as a person who LOVES Diet Dr. Pepper Berries N Cream, I just can't care about that... I am drinking my can, a can a day, like those almond guys, only it's diet soda. Phosphoric acid, caramel coloring, formic acid creating aspartame and all!! I'm drinking it!

So, yesterday, I had a super slow moment. I'm gonna tell you the story so you know not to do what I did. I had this customer who wanted a bunch of stuff for her bunco group. SO, I had to design something because I couldn't find something I liked already done. I couldn't find any dice so I had to draw them myself. All in all, I was very proud of this creation I had created. We set up a time to meet at the Starbucks down the street and I was standing in line getting ready to order a Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha hold the Mocha (which was supremely YUMMY by the way) and this lady looks at this thing I am holding, which looks like this:

She starts talking about how cute it is and how she plays bunco and how she loves this and so on... And, I stand there like a moron holding the thing and NOT ONCE do I mention that I made it, that I designed it, that this is my business, that she could order them from me, that I would sell her one, that I could make them with her face on them, NOTHING!! I say NOTHING about my business and I did NOT EVEN offer her a card!!! I can't believe how crazy stupid I was... What was I thinking??

My customer came, and we had a supreme time hanging out in the Starbucks drinking our drinks and chatting it up! So, that was a positive end to my being a moron!!

Today's freebie is a paper based on this shirt my daughter Rachel has, I just thought the picture was so cute, so I wanted to make a scrapbook page with it, which I did... I made this paper to use on that page... And, now I am sharing it with you!! I hope you'll be able to find a use for it!! :D

My Life as a Frog...

Ok... So, when you are filling out your profile, you have the option of answering a random question... I totally love random questions so I did it... And my question was about how I would live my life as a frog... But, then it only gives you 400 characters to answer it... How can anyone answer that kewl a question in so short a post?? I don't know... SO, here is my whole answer!! :D

The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?
answer:
Oh, I think I would love to live life as a frog, so much simpler than what we are doing as people, right? I totally dig on the way mud feels between my toes, as long as I know it is pure and doesn't have bugs or grossness in it... As a frog, I would lay around on my lilypad and dip in and out of the water just enough to keep myself moist! Like all frogs, I'd be looking for that perfect mate, and trying to avoid polluted water! Hmm... Come to think of it, my life as a frog wouldn't be all that different that my life as a human... Except that as a frog, I can swim away from my eggs once they are fertilized and let the little tadpoles fend for themselves!! ;-)
